Kindergarten Camp

For the 1st time, Mt. Carmel Elementary was able to sponsor a Kindergarten Camp for all of our newly enrolled 5-year old students.  The camp was held each morning July 24-27.  Students were able to meet their teacher, become acclimated with the school and even ride the school bus to visit another school.  They participated in fun activities and were "pros" when we started school on August 7th.

We celebrated our final day with the Sheriff's Department's new Polar Patrol Ice Cream Truck.  Our own BLAST Officer, Deputy Henry Timms delivered and served ice cream to over 30 of MCES's new kindergarten students.

Thank you to the Douglas County School System for arranging the camp and to Deputy Timms and the Sheriff's Department.  We had a wonderful week!
