The MCES Student Council is made up of one representative from each 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade home room. These representatives are elected by their classmates. All members of the student council must exhibit excellent character traits and maintain good grades. They cannot have any disciplinary action.

There are four officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The officers are elected prior to the home room elections. They must complete an application to run for office, conduct an election campaign and make a campaign speech before a school assembly.

The MCES Student Council sponsors different school wide projects for the betterment of the school, holds monthly meetings, and assumes leadership and helping roles around the school. They also assist at PTA meetings. The school counselor is the faculty sponsor for the MCES Student Council.
